Description of problem:
under the following locales,the account type of Gmail is not shown on the New Account Setup page:  
pt_BR;de_DE;es_ES;fr_FR;it_IT;ru_RU;
ko_KR;ja_JP;zh_CN;zh_TW;
pa_IN

under the following locales, the account type of Gmail is shown:
en_US;
as_IN;bn_IN;gu_IN;hi_IN;kn_IN;ml_IN;mr_IN;or_IN;ta_IN;te_IN;si_LK
(but under the South Asia locales , thunderbird is not translated )

How reproducible:
everytime


Steps to Reproduce:
1.issue command 'LANG=zh_CN.utf-8  && thunderbird '
2.Go to 'Edit > Account Settings > Add Account '
3.
  
Actual results:
On the New Account Setup page. the type of Gmail not be shown


Expected results:
Gmail option should be shown

Does it matter? I was able to orient myself just by the same position of items in menu, and I really don't aspire on being able to read Chinese ;-).

This request was evaluated by Red Hat Product Management for inclusion in a Red
Hat Enterprise Linux maintenance release.  Product Management has requested
further review of this request by Red Hat Engineering, for potential
inclusion in a Red Hat Enterprise Linux Update release for currently deployed
products.  This request is not yet committed for inclusion in an Update
release.

According to comment #5 there is missing translation, trademark problems and user is expected to install language pack after he set up his account (?).

Both of these reads to me like CLOSED/UPSTREAM :). Right?

Upstream have to decide how to solve this issue. Unfortunately we are unable to fix it. There is another way how to set up gmail account by following google instruction to use third party clients.
