Created attachment 323408 [details] /var/log/dmesg
Created attachment 323409 [details] /var/log/Xorg.1.log with stacktrace
Created attachment 323410 [details] /var/log/Xorg.0.log.old with (II) RADEON(0): [RESUME] Attempting to re-init Radeon hardware. This seems similar to Bug 468975 which happened on a completely different machine And btw: no xorg.conf, and booted with nomodeset
Well, I will rather not close possible backtrace carrying bug, but it really looks like bug 468975 -- what matters is not exact type of hardware, but which driver is used IMHO, and it is the same xorg-x11-drv-ati in both cases.

airlied: yeah its on my list, I just need to try and reproduce it here first.
This bug appears to have been reported against 'rawhide' during the Fedora 10 development cycle. Changing version to '10'. More information and reason for this action is here: http://fedoraproject.org/wiki/BugZappers/HouseKeeping
That is long time ago, things have changed, and this report no longer has any value. Closing.
