Description Naresh Sukhija 2008-11-17 07:27:35 UTC
Description of problem:
Network Manager static IP assignment broken

Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable):
Fedora 10 Preview (i386 and x86_64)

How reproducible:
Boot using boot.iso (under /images on DVD)

Steps to Reproduce:
1. After the installer starts, it asks for IP assignments for ethernet card
2. Use static IP, you'll get the message that there was an error assigning IP
3. Go to command prompt (Ctrl+Alt+F2) and observe that static IP was actually assigned
4. Click DHCP and this time Network Manager doesn't throw any error. No DHCP servers are actually available and NetworkManager continues with statically assigned IP in the step 2

Actual results:
Installation doesn't go through smoothly

Expected results:
NetworkManager should be able to assign static IP in the first attempt without any errors
