backtrace

Description of problem:
Sometimes when i am reading feeds in liferea CPU jumps to 100% and stays there. top confirms that liferea is using the CPU.

Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable):
liferea-1.4.20-4.fc10.i386 on F10

How reproducible:
Happens every few hundred articles. If i go through all my unread articles i usually trigger it. It does not seem to be specific to certain articles or feeds.

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Update all such that you have a few hundred unread.
2. Click though the list of unread messages.
3. Keep eye on CPU meter.

Actual results:
CPU jumps 100%, though liferea keeps working

Expected results:
Liferea only uses CPU while doing useful things.

Additional info:
I have made an attempt to backtrace the issue. I ran liferea in GDB untill the cpu went to 100%. then i pressed CTRL+C and made a backtrace.

let me know if i can provide more information.

Comment 4 Sam Tygier 2008-11-26 19:00:04 UTC
i have installed liferea-1.4.22d-1.fc10 from http://koji.fedoraproject.org/koji/buildinfo?buildID=71161

I can still trigger the 100% CPU by going to a feed with many articles, selecting the top article and then holding the down key, to move through all the articles.
