Comment 5 antonio montagnani 2009-02-10 11:24:34 UTC
I updated but X server is not starting.!!!
I will report back as soon as I will start in 3 level.

No way to kill X server after issuing a startx!!! Ho do you do it???

Comment 6 antonio montagnani 2009-02-10 14:44:29 UTC
xorg-x11-drv-cirrus-1.2.0-1.fc9.i386 is the component that I updated this morning, with xorg-x11-drv-evdev-2.1.2-1.fc11, xorg-x11-server-Xorg-1.5.99.902-5 and xorg-x11-server-common-1.5.99.902-5

I downgraded and now Xserver is running again...

Comment 7 Adam Jackson 2009-02-23 22:45:47 UTC
I said 1.2.0-3.fc11. You ran 1.2.0-1.fc9, but I never claimed it was fixed there...

Comment 8 antonio montagnani 2009-02-24 05:54:02 UTC
Adam,

I said that last working is 1.2.0-1.fc9 as I updated to 1.2.0.3-fc11 . No way of having a running system with cirrus driver.
So I reverted back to a working configuration.

Comment 9 antonio montagnani 2009-02-24 12:55:58 UTC
well.. I retried this morning and when I update the cirrus driver X-server will not start again....

So I switched back and forth between

This is working....but as soon as I switch to xorg-x11-drv-cirrus 1.2.0-3fc11 and I logout and login I get only a blank screen!!! I will attach also all available log files for X11....

I updated the cirrus package, I logged off and I got a black screen, so I re-installed old cirrus driver by a remore computer, I halted the computer and restarted. I don't know if other informations can be supplied by me...

I checked log files but I couldn't see anything strange...but I am no expert.
Tnx for help
