Description Wolfram Wagner 2009-02-09 18:40:20 UTC
At least for me it never worked, that Firefox finds the installed plugins at /usr/lib/mozilla/plugins.
Instead there is no directory /usr/lib/firefox-3.0.6/plugins at all. After every update I have to do a

sudo ln -s /usr/lib/mozilla/plugins /usr/lib/firefox-3.0.6/plugins

Isn't is possible to include this single line (and the removal when the rpm is uninstalled) into the RPM scripts?

This is a really nice to have, especially for normal users...Thanks!

Well, we really should figure out why it's not reading /usr/lib/mozilla/plugins for you and fix that. Assigning to stransky, but can you provide him with some additional information? Please give us the results of these two commands:

   rpm -q xulrunner firefox nspluginwrapper
   rpm -V xulrunner firefox nspluginwrapper

Also, can you make sure firefox is not running and then provide the output of:

   sh -x firefox

Thanks!

Hello, I am sorry to pretend of being wise...

nspluginswrapper was not installed (anymore) for some reason.

I installed it and Firefox finds its plugins. Sorry! And thanks for your help!
