I get a 404 error when trying to see "Release Notes" link in Spacewalk 0.4 on a CentOS 5.2 server: # rpm -qa spacewalk centos-release spacewalk-0.4.2-3.el5 centos-release-5-2.el5.centos To reproduce go to the link "Spacewalk release 0.4" at the bottom of the page, something like: https://spacewalk.example.com/rhn/help/release-notes/satellite/index.jsp Apache logs this error: test - - [10/Feb/2009:16:39:16 +0100] "GET /rhn/help/release-notes/satellite/index.jsp HTTP/1.1" 404 6860 # ls -1 /var/lib/tomcat5/webapps/rhn/help demo-entitlements-message.jsp index.jsp outage-policy.jsp Appears that "release-notes/satellite/index.jsp" file is not available in "spacewalk-java" package.. # rpm -q --whatprovides /var/lib/tomcat5/webapps/rhn/help/index.jsp spacewalk-java-0.4.16-1.el5
Remove the link from Spacewalk, the release notes are sent out to the spacewalk-announce list.
commit 6be31d465cd22e3d17a1e968e19544dfdc4d9b0d Author: Colin Coe <colin.coe> Date: Thu Aug 26 21:18:38 2010 +0800 484895 - Stop the release link giving a 404 Clicking on the version link (i.e. 1.1) no longer gives a 404. Takes user to RedHat Satellite docs site. I only noticed Jesus' comment now. Apologies, please advise if I've done bad and I'll revert the commit.
Mass-moving to space13.
We did not have time for this one during Spacewalk 1.4 time frame. Mass moving to Spacewalk 1.5.
Taking.
We now points the release notes dispatcher target to Spacewalk's ReleaseNotes on fedorahosted.org; Spacewalk master 254bac0c6a092d7bb3b865099815794999c72436.
This bugzilla is currently MODIFIED, so we believe the fix is in the Spacewalk nightly yum repository at http://spacewalk.redhat.com/yum/nightly/ Therefore, moving ON_QA.
Spacewalk 1.5 was released.
