Description Christopher Beland 2009-03-13 05:56:43 UTC
There is an EVR problem causing the F10 -> F11 upgrade path for esound to break. For example, I have installed

esound-libs-0.2.41-1.fc10.x86_64
esound-debuginfo-0.2.41-1.fc10.x86_64

These did not get changed by "yum update" until I removed them manually with "rpm -e --nodeps". "yum install esound-debuginfo esound-libs" then pulls:

esound-libs-0.2.40-2.fc11.x86_64.rpm
esound-debuginfo-0.2.40-2.fc11.x86_64.rpm

Comment 1 Adam Williamson 2009-03-13 18:24:09 UTC
esound itself is in fact now obsoleted by PulseAudio. esound-libs is sticking around for apps which use libesd directly:

It seems that Matthias Clasen sent this update:

* Mon Nov 24 2008 Matthias Clasen <mclasen> 0 1:0.2.41-1
- Update t 0.2.41

to F10, but not Rawhide. So the update should be sent to Rawhide.
