Description of problem: I've just retired oki4linux package after confirming that the printer I needed it for (Okipage 8w) works fine with foomatic oki8w driver. Please add Obsoletes: oki4linux < 2.1gst-5 to the spec file. Provides: shouldn't be necessary because nothing requires oki4linux as far as I can tell.
Do you mean 'oki4w'?
I don't understand your question. Is something unclear about what I wrote?
Yes. You said "foomatic oki8w driver" but I'm unclear about which driver you mean. There is no foomatic driver named 'oki8w' that I can find. $ rpm -ql foomatic | grep -w driver | grep oki /usr/share/foomatic/db/source/driver/oki182.xml /usr/share/foomatic/db/source/driver/oki4w.xml /usr/share/foomatic/db/source/driver/okiibm.xml
Hm, I simply selected the driver in system-config-printer. I must have misread the driver name. Of course I meant oki4w.
