From the field:

This is the page from the Sat installation manual that talks about
sizing.  I would suggest that a table be added which illustrates the
size of one or more typical sets of channels.  Estimating is always an
issue.  I generally tell people 50 GB minimum - especially because
resizing the database would probably be a hassle.

This is slated for inclusion in the Satellite 5.5 documentation. Source information required for the requested table.
