Description of problem: Upon loading Fedora 11 Beta, and updating to the latest on rawhide, I find that Gwibber no longer displays anything from Identica. No errors are reported. Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable): 0.9.1 How reproducible: Every time. Steps to Reproduce: 1. Load Gwibber. 2. Wait for account to refresh. Actual results: Nothing displayed. Expected results: Latest dents should be shown. I'd like to help debug this, so please just let me know what I can do to help, or what other information is needed.
Known issue, WebKit fails in rawhide. Upstream notified a while ago. https://bugs.launchpad.net/gwibber/+bug/304033 This affects everything that is displayed in Gwibber, so this bug will be treated as the canonical "oh god webkit broke everything :(" bug. Summary edited to match.
Thanks Ian. I saw another bug like that, but it was old and resolved, so I went ahead and opened the new bug.
Check today's rawhide, spot pushed an update that should fix the world.
oh, well, except for bug 497108 -- install python-mako manually if you need to.
installed python-mako and it works, added a new account for a RSS feed (for example http://morayskitchen.wordpress.com/feed/) and after a refresh the window is again empty. Updating to gwibber-0.9.1-2.288bzr.fc11.noarch from koji does not solve the problem. Disabling message receiving from the RSS, window has content again.
correction to comment #5, after adding the RSS/Atom feed, the window does not get empty after a refresh but only at the next application start. However, it does not display any content from the feed.
I am still unable to see anything with Gwibber. I already have python-mako installed.
Well, it started working after I made a post. That's odd.
This bug appears to have been reported against 'rawhide' during the Fedora 11 development cycle. Changing version to '11'. More information and reason for this action is here: http://fedoraproject.org/wiki/BugZappers/HouseKeeping
Can we close this?
Yeah, whatever was broken was fixed a while ago.
