Description Andrew Overholt 2009-04-22 13:31:04 UTC
We'd like to ship the JIRA plugin for Eclipse Mylyn but it needs (among other things) axis 1.4. The OSGi metadata and other information is available here:

http://dev.eclipse.org/viewcvs/index.cgi/org.eclipse.orbit/org.apache.axis/?root=Tools_Project&pathrev=v1_4_0

It looks like JPackage has 1.4:

Comment 1 Bug Zapper 2009-06-09 14:24:22 UTC
This bug appears to have been reported against 'rawhide' during the Fedora 11 development cycle.
Changing version to '11'.

Comment 2 Bug Zapper 2010-04-27 13:52:36 UTC
This message is a reminder that Fedora 11 is nearing its end of life.
Approximately 30 (thirty) days from now Fedora will stop maintaining
and issuing updates for Fedora 11. It is Fedora's policy to close all
bug reports from releases that are no longer maintained. At that time
this bug will be closed as WONTFIX if it remains open with a Fedora
'version' of '11'.

Package Maintainer: If you wish for this bug to remain open because you
plan to fix it in a currently maintained version, simply change the 'version'
to a later Fedora version prior to Fedora 11's end of life.

Bug Reporter: Thank you for reporting this issue and we are sorry that
we may not be able to fix it before Fedora 11 is end of life. If you
would still like to see this bug fixed and are able to reproduce it
against a later version of Fedora please change the 'version' of this
bug to the applicable version. If you are unable to change the version,
please add a comment here and someone will do it for you.

Although we aim to fix as many bugs as possible during every release's
lifetime, sometimes those efforts are overtaken by events. Often a
more recent Fedora release includes newer upstream software that fixes
bugs or makes them obsolete.

The process we are following is described here:
http://fedoraproject.org/wiki/BugZappers/HouseKeeping

Comment 3 Andrew Overholt 2010-05-05 21:48:30 UTC
Still applicable (unless Alex took care of it?).

Comment 4 Bug Zapper 2010-07-30 10:38:40 UTC
This bug appears to have been reported against 'rawhide' during the Fedora 14 development cycle.
Changing version to '14'.

More information and reason for this action is here:

Comment 5 Severin Gehwolf 2011-04-13 18:26:35 UTC
This is still applicable for F15 and up. We'd need updated axis with OSGi info for eclipse-mylyn as well, FWIW :)

Comment 6 Severin Gehwolf 2011-06-07 17:26:31 UTC
There hasn't been an Apache axis release since 2006. Axis 2 is well maintained. So it would make sense to get rid of axis and package axis2 instead. More info here: http://axis.apache.org/

Comment 7 Fedora Admin XMLRPC Client 2012-01-16 19:04:34 UTC
This package has changed ownership in the Fedora Package Database. Reassigning to the new owner of this component.

Comment 11 Alexander Kurtakov 2012-05-10 20:52:20 UTC
Axis2 is packaged now. http://koji.fedoraproject.org/koji/rpminfo?rpmID=3023787

Comment 12 Fedora End Of Life 2012-08-07 19:27:15 UTC
This message is a notice that Fedora 15 is now at end of life. Fedora
has stopped maintaining and issuing updates for Fedora 15. It is
Fedora's policy to close all bug reports from releases that are no
longer maintained. At this time, all open bugs with a Fedora 'version'
of '15' have been closed as WONTFIX.

(Please note: Our normal process is to give advanced warning of this
occurring, but we forgot to do that. A thousand apologies.)

Package Maintainer: If you wish for this bug to remain open because you
plan to fix it in a currently maintained version, feel free to reopen
this bug and simply change the 'version' to a later Fedora version.

Bug Reporter: Thank you for reporting this issue and we are sorry that
we were unable to fix it before Fedora 15 reached end of life. If you
would still like to see this bug fixed and are able to reproduce it
against a later version of Fedora, you are encouraged to click on
"Clone This Bug" (top right of this page) and open it against that
version of Fedora.

Although we aim to fix as many bugs as possible during every release's
lifetime, sometimes those efforts are overtaken by events. Often a
more recent Fedora release includes newer upstream software that fixes
bugs or makes them obsolete.

The process we are following is described here:
