Red Hat Bugzilla – Bug 498149
Fail2ban fails to shutdown with broken Internet Connection
Last modified: 2009-09-15 03:56:48 EDT
I have an ADSL connection to the internet. If my internet connection goes down and I need to restart the computer or manually try to stop or restart fail2ban services, fail2ban seems to hang and the only way that I am able to restart the computer is with a hard reset.
This bug appears to have been reported against 'rawhide' during the Fedora 11 development cycle.
Changing version to '11'.

Can you please test against 0.8.4?
fail2ban-0.8.4-23.fc11 has been submitted as an update for Fedora 11.
Probaby early next week.
Seems to have fixed the problem. After installing and breaking my internet connection I had no problem rebooting the computer.
Thanks for reporting and the feedback!
