Description Daniel McNamara 2009-05-03 12:12:54 UTC
Description of problem:

2.6 starting to get a bit long in the tooth. Wordpress 2.7 has been established for some time with the 2.8 release apparently being Real Soon Now.

Fedora 11 has a 2.7 RPM, as far as I can tell (and my limited testing has shown) WordPress 2.7 uses nothing special that can't run on a RHEL 5.2 and above setup.

Any chance of a newer wordpress being pushed to EPEL along with the Fedora change?

Once Fedora 11 is released I will push the changes to Fedora 10 and EPEL.

Excellent, figured that would be the answer but no harm in raising the RFE

Comment 3 Adrian Reber 2009-06-22 09:21:51 UTC
I have update wordpress to 2.8 on the development branch and pushed 2.7.1 to F-10 and EL-5. Updates should appear soon in the repositories.
