gmenu segfaults during printing (to the tty?) of  "creating
user directory: ..." (in _IO_fputs) for ~/.gnome/apps and
~/.gnome/pixmaps if they do not exist

backtrace:

Fixed in the latest gnome RPMs in Raw Hide.
