Description of problem: preupgrade FC10->rawhide fails with nfs mounted /var/cache/yum When /var/cache/yum is nfs mounted, preupgrade successfully creates its /var/cache/yum/preupgrade, but the subsequent reboot fails, because /var/cache/yum/preupgrade is not available. Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable): preupgrade-1.1.0-1.fc10.noarch How reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. use an nfs mounted /var/cache/yum 2. run preupgrade 3. reboot Actual results: Reboot fails Expected results: In an ideal world: Function (I.e. take existing /etc/fstab into account). Alternatively, preupgrade should at least issue an error message that preupgrade is unable to handle this kind of situations. Additional info: IMO, any directory below /var is not unlikely to be shared across networks (e.g. nfs mounted). May-be using a subdir of /tmp or /root instead of /var/cache/yum would be less likely to be victim of such issues.
