Description liang jian 2009-06-12 15:09:24 UTC
Description of problem:

When I open a text file by vim-X11, the underscore character in this file are displayed as a blank. I can correctly display underscore only after I change font to MiscFixed. I think this must be problem related to font render in vim-X11.
BTW, underscore can be displayed correctly in other text editors like vim, gedit...

Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable):

vim-common-7.2.148-1.fc11.i586
vim-X11-7.2.148-1.fc11.i586
vim-enhanced-7.2.148-1.fc11.i586
vim-minimal-7.2.148-1.fc11.i586

How reproducible:

Steps to Reproduce:
1.open vim-X11
2.write some underscore characters
3.you will see nothing but blanks

I cannot see this in vim-7.2-314 that I'm currently working on. Please update when it is available from the usual locations and reopen this bugzilla if you still can't see the underscores. You can also try to set the colorscheme to default, sometimes certain schemes use the color for some characters than for the background.
