Description Bryan Leopard 2001-08-01 13:43:08 UTC
The current shipping driver doesn't recognize out latest PCI-X boards.
Thus during setup, the network fails to be auto configured.

The adapters are:

Compaq NC7770 Gigabit Server Adapter
Compaq NC7780 Gigabit Server Adapter
Compaq NC6770 Gigabit Server Adapter

The driver is BCM5700. It supports our latest Compaq Gigabit PCI-X
boards. If we could get this driver included in RedHat 7.2 with the
proper configuration strings, then installations should recognize the
adapters and start the network configuration process.

The adapters names and IDs are:
Compaq NC7770 Gigabit Server Adapter 14e4 1645 oe11 007c

Compaq NC6770 Gigabit Server Adapter 14e4 1645 oe11 007d

Compaq NC7780 Gigabit Server Adapter 14e4 1645 oe11 0085
