Description of problem: As usual, I'm not sure what component to put in this report, and trust that you'll refile the bug as appropriate. Both of them turn off the computer but turning it on again does not return to the state before the suspend or hibernate. I recently upgraded to fc11. In all fairness, suspend didn't work before, though hibernate did. I imagine that something from the logs would be helpful here, but I'm not sure what to provide. Also, something about my hardware ... Here's a section of log seeming to show a suspend then a resume -- I don't see anything wrong here, but at the end, when nothing showed up on the screen I rebooted. This message is a reminder that Fedora 11 is nearing its end of life. Approximately 30 (thirty) days from now Fedora will stop maintaining and issuing updates for Fedora 11. It is Fedora's policy to close all bug reports from releases that are no longer maintained. At that time this bug will be closed as WONTFIX if it remains open with a Fedora 'version' of '11'. Package Maintainer: If you wish for this bug to remain open because you plan to fix it in a currently maintained version, simply change the 'version' to a later Fedora version prior to Fedora 11's end of life. Bug Reporter: Thank you for reporting this issue and we are sorry that we may not be able to fix it before Fedora 11 is end of life. If you would still like to see this bug fixed and are able to reproduce it against a later version of Fedora please change the 'version' of this bug to the applicable version. If you are unable to change the version, please add a comment here and someone will do it for you. Although we aim to fix as many bugs as possible during every release's lifetime, sometimes those efforts are overtaken by events. Often a more recent Fedora release includes newer upstream software that fixes bugs or makes them obsolete. The process we are following is described here: http://fedoraproject.org/wiki/BugZappers/HouseKeeping
just moved to fc 12 Hibernate now seems to work. Suspend seems to save state and then immediately resumes. Any ideas

just moved to fedora 14 as in 12, hibernate seems to be working, suspend seems to do something about saving state but immediately resumes.
Is this still happening on the latest f14 (or preferably f15) kernel?
currently in 2.6.35.13-92.fc14.x86_64 I believe hibernate works and suspend does not. I have close-lid set to hibernate. This has been the case for some time. Of course, I'd have to reboot to check. If I do that, what output would you like to see? How important/urgent is this?
I just tried system - shutdown - suspend It seems to have started to suspend but immediately resumed. I can send whatever logs you like. Looks like I have about 200 lines of /var/log/messages, 150 lines of pm-suspend.log.

This message is a notice that Fedora 14 is now at end of life. Fedora has stopped maintaining and issuing updates for Fedora 14. It is Fedora's policy to close all bug reports from releases that are no longer maintained. At this time, all open bugs with a Fedora 'version' of '14' have been closed as WONTFIX. (Please note: Our normal process is to give advanced warning of this occurring, but we forgot to do that. A thousand apologies.) Package Maintainer: If you wish for this bug to remain open because you plan to fix it in a currently maintained version, feel free to reopen this bug and simply change the 'version' to a later Fedora version.
