*** Bug 506968 has been marked as a duplicate of this bug. *** This request was evaluated by Red Hat Product Management for inclusion in a Red Hat Enterprise Linux maintenance release. Product Management has requested further review of this request by Red Hat Engineering, for potential inclusion in a Red Hat Enterprise Linux Update release for currently deployed products. This request is not yet committed for inclusion in an Update release. We hit the panic mentioned in BZ 506968 last night. I tested out lpfc 8.2.0.46 and no longer see it. Hi Jamie, A style issue came up during internal review with this patch: - if (pci_read_config_word(pdev, PCI_DEVICE_ID, &dev_id)) + if (pci_read_config_dword(pdev, LPFC_SLIREV_CONF_WORD, + (uint32_t *) &intf)) - if (pci_read_config_word(pdev, PCI_DEVICE_ID, &dev_id)) + if (pci_read_config_dword(pdev, LPFC_SLIREV_CONF_WORD, + &intf.word0) Please consider this for a future patch. Thanks, Rob Rob, We'll include this change in the next lpfc patch (which should be today). Thanks, Jamie in kernel-2.6.18-156.el5 You can download this test kernel from http://people.redhat.com/dzickus/el5 Please do NOT transition this bugzilla state to VERIFIED until our QE team has sent specific instructions indicating when to do so.
