Description alexf 2009-06-19 10:53:12 UTC
Description of problem:
The extensions tab on the gnome-do settings is empty. And thus gnome-do in Fedora isn't supporting any extensions right now.

Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable):
gnome-do-0.8.1.3-5.fc11.x86_64

How reproducible:
See steps below.

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Summon gnome-do.
2. Open the settings and go to the extensions tab.
3. See that empty extensions list.

Actual results:
Extension list is empty

Expected results:
Lots of useful extensions should be showed, so that one can use them.

Do you have gnome-do-plugins installed?

Comment 2 alexf 2009-08-21 08:01:26 UTC
I now do, thanks. Maybe the plugin tab could indicate that none are installed, instead of being just empty.

Comment 3 Michel Lind 2009-08-21 10:24:33 UTC
There need to be a better way of installing gnome-do, certainly. Perhaps we need to ask upstream to change their Fedora to 'yum install gnome-do-plugins' -- but then again, a lot of the plugins in F-11 and above are split off from the main package, to reduce dependencies, so you still won't see everything.

One decent way would be to properly list gnome-do and its plugins in the menu shown by the package installer. Will probably discuss with main maintainer and get this done for F-12.
