Description Juan 2009-07-14 22:18:02 UTC
When you try to set the system time, after entering the root password, the password is asked again and again and nothing happens.

Steps to Reproduce:

1. Try to set the time and date using clock applet (right click)
2. Try to set the the system time
3. Enter root password, but nothing happens

From /var/log/audit/audit.log:

type=USER_AUTH msg=audit(1247608906.515:23219): user pid=8725 uid=500 auid=500 ses=1 subj=unconfined_u:unconfined_r:unconfined_t:s0-s0:c0.c1023 msg='op=PAM:authentication acct="myuser" exe="/usr/libexec/polkit-grant-helper-pam" (hostname=?, addr=?, terminal=? res=failed)'

The authentication dialog shows:

app: /usr/libexec/clock-applet
action: org.gnome.cloclapplet.mechanism.settime
manufacturer: The GNOME Porject

There's a WM_TRANSIENT_FOR warning for 0x3e00003 in ~/.xsession-errors from the window manager.

I don't know if it's related. Seems more a selinux problem.

Comment 2 Juan 2009-11-21 10:04:15 UTC
It works with Fedora 12.
