Spec URL: http://aml.cs.byu.edu/~amcnabb/dansguardian.spec SRPM URL: http://aml.cs.byu.edu/~amcnabb/dansguardian-2.10.1.1-1.fc11.src.rpm Description: I have packaged DansGuardian and would appreciate a review. I have run rpmlint on the spec, the source RPM, and the binary RPM. I am not aware of any remaining errors or warnings from rpmlint. Please let me know if there are any other problems with the package. DansGuardian is a web content filter. It filters the actual content of pages based on many methods including phrase matching, PICS filtering and URL filtering. It does not purely filter based on a banned list of sites.
I read on the HowToGetSponsored page that I should add some information about my involvement with the community. I have tried to give helpful bug reports for a variety of Fedora packages, and along the way I have added several upstream bug reports. I have also tried to add information to help bug reporters and triagers, such as suggestions about likely duplicates. Now that I have started working with packaging, I have added some comments for another review request (bug #509160). I have also been involved with the community in other ways, such as setting up a Fedora mirror, giving LUG presentations, etc. I'm not sure if all of that is relevant, but the wiki page said to provide as much information as possible. :)
Your submission is appreciated, but dansguardian is already part of Fedora. Perhaps you could offer to assist the current maintainer. See http://bugz.fedoraproject.org/dansguardian *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of bug 500013 ***
