Description of problem: XInput_find_display interface is no longer available in libXi Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable): libXi-1.2.99-5.20090716.fc12.i586 How reproducible: very Steps to Reproduce: 1. install lsb-libchk 2. run /opt/lsb/bin/lsblibchk 3. Actual results: Checking symbols in /usr/lib/libXi.so.6 Did not find XInput_find_display (unversioned) in libXi.so.6 Expected results: No error Additional info: I imagine this is trickling down from an upstream change, but didn't find anything in a Google search. It just happens that Rawhide is the first place I see it showing up. This also drive a catastrophic failure of the xst5 tests, with tests crashing due to the undefined symbol.
This bug appears to have been reported against 'rawhide' during the Fedora 12 development cycle. Changing version to '12'. More information and reason for this action is here: http://fedoraproject.org/wiki/BugZappers/HouseKeeping
My assumption is that the Assigned To here is either, 1. Deceased, or 2. Not interested.
Thanks for the reminder. Closing this as "notabug". Upstream did drop the symbol and we withdrew it from LSB also.
Or, 3. Assigned To is busy, and has other priorities! My apologies for the earlier remark - I have bugs with no activity for months and assumed otherwise. But I see updates by sandmann as recently as 2010-08-24 09:11:27 EDT. I'll try to help by marking duplicates. Sorry for the noise.
