Description of problem: PCI drivers that implement the struct pci_error_handlers' error_detected callback should return PCI_ERS_RESULT_DISCONNECT if the state passed in is pci_channel_io_perm_failure. The e100 driver does not do this. Additional info: The solution will be to backport an upstream commit authored by Andre Detsch <adetsch.com>. See the following URL for details. http://git.kernel.org/?p=linux/kernel/git/davem/net-2.6.git;a=commitdiff;h=ef681ce1e8b3e63317cd724c200b2fd39286c005
