Description wes hayutin 2009-08-03 14:55:14 UTC
Description of problem:

SSM, unable to change child channel subscriptions w/ custom channels in the SSM. It looks like if the custom child channels were created in the org you are working with everything works. If the custom base and custom child were created in another org and shared.. the SSM is not picking up the shared channels.

recreate:

1. select a few profiles to work w/ in the ssm
2. ssm -> channel memberships
3. if you use null channels (red hat base channels, and child channels) everything works fine... you may want to try and see it work.

In org A
4. create a custom base channel (named custombase01)
5. create a few custom channels (named customchild01, customchild02, etc)
6. setup trust between org A and org B
In org B

7. use the ssm to change the base and child channels to channels from step 4 & 5
