My livecd spins still pull in lzma, unless I explicitly force xz-compat-lzma in and lzma out. Also, lzma did not vanish from my rawhide box...
Actually, I retract the last one. It does seem to have vanished. So this may just be a livcd-creator issue.
lzma is only obsoleted by xz-lzma-compat, it contains: Obsoletes: lzma < 5 Provides: lzma = 5 and the rawhide lzma is 4.32.7 so nothing seems to be wrong to me. It shouldn't happen that you have both xz-compat-lzma and lzma installed because not only that lzma is obsoleted by xz-lzma-compat but these two packages have file conflicts. Note that xz and xz-libs will live quite happily with lzma and lzma-libs.
This turns out to be a yum issue, which is also popping up elsewhere. *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of bug 515695 ***
