Description John Sefler 2009-08-11 18:24:15 UTC
Description of problem:

When creating a child channel, the Parent Channel is chosen and then the following field on the form is Parent Channel Architecture: which is a selectable field. I don't think it makes sense to chose a parent channel and then have to specify the arch of the parent channel. Doesn't the parent channel already know what its architecture is?-yes. I would suggest that when the Parent Channel is chosen to any value other than None, then the Parent Channel Architecture field should be disabled and selected to the value of the parent's architecture.

Moreover, the label "Parent Channel Architecture" would make more sense to me if it was labeled "Channel Architecture".

Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable):
Sat530 iso from 7/24

How reproducible:
Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Channels / Manage Software Channels / create new channel
