Description Remi Collet 2009-08-17 05:13:23 UTC
The package doesn't come with the "phpcs" command which is referred in the documentation.

It is available in the upstream tarball (scripts/phpcs) and should be installed in /usr/bin.

It will be great to have it included with new 1.2.0 version.

Small packaging improvment : please rename the package XML file from %{pecl_name} to %{name} (according to PHP Guideleines). This is mainly usefull to avoid conflict between package from various channel (even if there is no chance of conflict for this package)

Thanks.

phpcs is in a separate RPM (yum install phpcs). It's this way to keep php-cli separate from the library package.

Comment 2 Remi Collet 2009-08-17 13:00:17 UTC
Ok, I have miss this subpackage

But
. php-pear-PHP-CodeSniffer requires php-pear
. php-pear requires php-cli

So I think the goal is missed ;) and php-cli always here
So probably, there is no real need for a separate phpcs package

Comment 4 Christof Damian 2009-09-19 11:07:36 UTC
I have updated the package to 1.2.0 in rawhide now.

I am not sure what to do about the separate phpcs package. I guess it doesn't really hurt at the moment, I might remove it in the future.
