Xorg.1.log (nomodeset radeon.modeset=0)

Attaching Xorg.1.log when booting with modesetting disabled. The net result is the same, but the log output is different.

Xorg log showing segfault on a Dell Latitude D810 w/Radeon Mobility X600

Still happening with these versions:
xorg-x11-server-Xorg-1.6.99-28.20090804.fc12.i686
xorg-x11-drv-ati-6.13.0-0.2.20090821gitb1b77a4d6.fc12.i686
kernel-2.6.31-0.190.rc8.fc12.i686

This looks very similar to the closer sscanf bug 515785 which is also worked around with radeon.modeset=0

Comment 3 James Laska 2009-09-10 14:01:40 UTC
Also still seeing this on updated Radeon test day live image

kernel-2.6.31-0.219.rc9.git2.fc12.i686
xorg-x11-server-Xorg-1.6.99.900-1.fc12.i686
xorg-x11-drv-ati-6.13.0-0.3.20090908git651fe5a47.fc12.i686

Comment 4 James Laska 2009-09-10 14:16:32 UTC
Adding for review as an F12Blocker bug.

So far, this is known to affect Mobility X600 and X300

can you check with 20090915 or snapshot 2? https://fedoraproject.org/wiki/Test_Day:Current#Live_Image

Do you still have this issue i have X300 and X850 working fine here with the lastest F12.

Comment 7 James Laska 2009-10-22 19:07:21 UTC
I'm not seeing any SIGSEGV's while running on the latest rawhide content, which includes:

 * kernel-2.6.31.1-56.fc12.i686
 * xorg-x11-drv-ati-6.13.0-0.7.20091006git457646d73.fc12.i686
 * xorg-x11-server-Xorg-1.7.0-1.fc12.i686

My display adapter information:

 * 01:00.0 VGA compatible controller: ATI Technologies Inc M22 [Mobility Radeon X300]

Closing this issue and will reopen should the problem resurface.
