Description Alex Lancaster 2009-08-26 10:17:47 UTC
Unfortunately the new version of perl-PDL (with the extra "_05" in the version number) trips up the build of plplot:

-- PDL_VERSION = 2.4.4_05
-- WARNING: PDL version < 2.4.1. Disabling Perl/PDL examples in tests

see full log here:

http://koji.fedoraproject.org/koji/getfile?taskID=1634561&name=build.log

Not sure whether this should be fixed in perl-PDF or in plplot (upstream or otherwise), but I report it here since this is the proximate cause of the plplot build failure.

Comment 1 Alex Lancaster 2009-08-26 10:18:45 UTC
Just to be clear: 2.4.4_05 *should* be greater than 2.4.1 and therefore the tests should be enabled.

Comment 2 Alex Lancaster 2009-08-26 10:27:32 UTC
Reported this also in the upstream bug tracker for plplot:

http://sourceforge.net/tracker/?func=detail&aid=2844850&group_id=2915&atid=102915

Comment 3 Orion Poplawski 2009-08-26 16:40:16 UTC
Just hadn't gotten around to applying plplot upstream patch to handle this.
