This is with: xorg-x11-server-Xorg-1.6.99-41.20090825.fc12.x86_64 xorg-x11-drv-intel-2.8.0-8.fc12.x86_64 pixman-0.15.20-1.fc12.x86_64 glibc-2.10.90-15.x86_64
Any changes recently?
I am seeing the same problem on a ThinkPad T60 running F12 beta. But only when a secondary display is attached (multi-head). I tried upgrading to the latest Intel driver, Xorg and kernel to no avail. Here are my current versions; kernel-2.6.31.5-97.fc12.i686 xorg-x11-drv-intel-2.9.1-1.fc12.i686 xorg-x11-server-Xorg-1.7.1-1.fc12.i686 If I use that same kernel version on a plain F11 install, multi-head works great.

Original bug is G31, and you have 945GM. Not sure how similar these are, but let's leave it as 945GM for the time being. Updating summary.
Since this bugzilla report was filed, there have been several major updates in various components of the Xorg system, which may have resolved this issue. Users who have experienced this problem are encouraged to upgrade their system to the latest version of their packages (at least F12Beta, but even better if the very latest versions). Please, if you experience this problem on the up-to-date system, let us now in the comment for this bug, or whether the upgraded system works for you. If you won't be able to reply in one month, I will have to close this bug as INSUFFICIENT_DATA. Thank you. [This is a bulk message for all open Fedora Rawhide Xorg-related bugs. I'm adding myself to the CC list for each bug, so I'll see any comments you make after this and do my best to make sure every issue gets proper attention.]
Yes this segfault is a current issue, and is preventing me from upgrading my work system to F12.
You may want to try xorg-x11-server 1.7.1-5 or later. There is a good chance this bug is fixed there.
Indeed, I upgraded to the latest 1.7.1-6 build and it works again. For me this issue is therefore resolved.
Thanks for reporting back.
