Description Sankarshan 2009-08-31 01:48:20 UTC
Description of problem: I want to use Virtaal to input in bn_IN while I am in the en_US environment. For this, I use iBus to switch locales/input methods when inside of Virtaal. Specific to Virtaal, I need to keep switching to bn_IN each time I move to a new line to edit/input the bn_IN string. That is, Virtaal does not hold constant the specific need to be within bn_IN unless explicitly switched back to en_US

Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable):

virtaal-0.4.0-1.fc11.noarch

How reproducible:

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Open up a .po file using Virtaal, switch to bn_IN input using iBus
2. Edit/enter a bn_IN string into the appropriate text area and, move on to next line
3. Start input into the appropriate text area for the local language

Actual results: Virtaal picks up the en_US for input (if in en_US locale)

Expected results: Virtaal should keep the bn_IN input consistent unless explicitly switched back

Additional info:

Comment 1 Sankarshan 2009-08-31 07:24:32 UTC
http://bugs.locamotion.org/show_bug.cgi?id=1119 is the upstream bug (which is a copy+paste of this report)

Comment 2 Dwayne Bailey 2009-08-31 11:59:54 UTC
I'm going to track this on the upstream bug.

Comment 3 Dwayne Bailey 2009-12-02 05:50:44 UTC
Upstream GNOME bug is fixed. Upstream Virtaal from comment 1 is fixed and
verified based on the F-12 release (not sure if its the current F-12 or the
0.5.0rc1 version).

Comment 4 Fedora Update System 2009-12-03 21:34:57 UTC
virtaal-0.5.0-1.fc12 has been submitted as an update for Fedora 12.
http://admin.fedoraproject.org/updates/virtaal-0.5.0-1.fc12

Comment 5 Vedran Miletić 2009-12-04 18:26:51 UTC
The VERIFIED, FAILS_QA and RELEASE_PENDING bug states are not used by Fedora (they are used in the RHEL process).

I'm closing this bug ahead of time. It is possibly fixed, but Reporter, if you can reproduce it using a current version of Fedora (version 12), please reopen it.
