I have a Lenovo X200s thinkpad running Fedora 11. However the suspend/resume functionality seems to be very unreliabel. It always suspends fine with the little 'moon' icon lighting up, but it only wakes up properly again about 30% of the times. The rest it seems to start for a second, then just shut down again with the battery light having turned on, but nothing else. After that the only thing I am able to do is force it off completely by holding down the power button. I am currently running the 2.6.29.6-217.2.16.fc11.x86_64 kernel which should be the latest. In the URL section I also added the link to my smolt profile. Please let me know if there are any logs etc. I can provide that will help diagnose this.
pm-utils-bugreport-info.sh output and /var/log/pm-suspend.log can be helpful. -- Fedora Bugzappers volunteer triage team https://fedoraproject.org/wiki/BugZappers
After some further testing I found that the behaviour is the exact same with both Windows Vista and Ubuntu, so I am thinking its a hardware issue at this point. I re-open this with the requested logs if that turns out to be false.
