Description Orion Poplawski 2009-09-11 17:21:21 UTC
Description of problem:

One of our users runs KDE inside a separate VNC session. nm-applet crashes when run from this configuration, probably as a result of dbus rules blocking messages.

VNC session log:

(nm-applet:4518): Gtk-WARNING **: Unable to locate theme engine in module_path: "nodoka",

(nm-applet:4518): Gtk-WARNING **: Unable to locate theme engine in module_path: "nodoka",

(nm-applet:4518): GLib-WARNING **: GError set over the top of a previous GError or uninitialized memory.
This indicates a bug in someone's code. You must ensure an error is NULL before it's set.
The overwriting error message was: Connection ":1.77" is not allowed to own the service "org.freedesktop.NetworkManagerUserSettings" due to security policies in the configuration file
