Comment 1 Matt Chan 2009-09-16 20:18:47 UTC
This behaviour is not isolated to Nautilus alone. I'm experiencing the same problems with the deskbar-applet preferences page.

I will attach the crash info from both.

A deskbar gnome crash report

It appears the deskbar crash is related to the nautilus crash based on information from the .Xsession

Comment 4 Brandon Ess 2009-09-17 13:56:44 UTC
I just installed Fedora 11 x64 on my laptop, and I am having the same issues. I would provide a log, but mine are exactly the same as Mr. Chan's

Hopefully there will be a fix, or work around soon. I have forgotten how much I hate the old default Nautilus behaviour.

Comment 5 Matt Chan 2009-09-17 18:53:29 UTC
I've received a response from the Gnome bug report that was filed.

It appears that the fix has been put upstream. I'm not sure what the procedures are for updating something from upstream though.

I've pasted it below:

I checked ran software update, and nothing. I'll keep checking.

Comment 7 Tomáš Bžatek 2009-09-18 11:10:15 UTC
Please always use 'text/plain' MIME type for textual logs so we can display them directly in the browser.

As a temporary solution you can use gconf-editor to change your preferences (/apps/nautilus node).
