From Bugzilla Helper: User-Agent: Mozilla/4.0 (compatible; MSIE 5.01; Windows NT 5.0) Description of problem: This newer Trident chipset is not autodetected by Xconfigurator. You can select Trident drivers from Xconfigurator, but no menu selections are able to generate XF86Config-4 that will work with this laptop display at 1024x768. 800x600 and 640x480 work, except they are slightly corrupted and on the bottom right corner of the screen, slighlty chopped off and showing on the top of the screen. When using the refresh rates and options on this web page, it works great at 1024x768 with zero problems. http://www.douglasstewart.com/linux/XF86Config-4 Would it be possible to fix the autodetect and configure systems to use these or similar working options if this chipset and screen is detected? Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable): How reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: Autodetect X or Xconfigurator menu options. Actual Results: Autodetection doesn't detect the video chipset, and manual Xconfigurator choices are unable to make an acceptable working X server configuration. Expected Results: This new Trident CyberBladeXP chipset should be auto detected and configured properly with this laptop display. I have updated the PCI table in kudzu to have the info for this chip, and it will appear in the next kudzu package in rawhide. If it still doesn't work when kudzu is updated, please reopen.
should be fixed with 0.99.20-1 (and the corresponding Xconfigurator)
