Description Kjartan Maraas 2009-10-01 17:15:37 UTC
Description of problem:

The last couple of kernels broke resume from s2ram for me. I just get a black screen and I can't shut down via the power button or ctrl+alt+delete.

Nothing in the logs to help track it down either :-/

I can suspend+resume if I go to the console and take the machine to runlevel 3 it seems. Maybe more fun with the intel drivers and xorg...

This was with the latest xorg intel driver from koji (2.9.0.xx)

Comment 2 Kjartan Maraas 2009-10-05 09:12:24 UTC
Looks like the machine is working, but the display is frozen somehow. I tried the hack with turning the display off and on again with xrandr --output LVDS1 --off/--auto but that didn't help.

Comment 3 Kjartan Maraas 2009-10-10 14:45:39 UTC
This is caused by some vbetool/selinux interaction it seems. Marking as duplicate of this bug: https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=528022
