This bug will be blocked by GCC bugs uncovered that interfere with maximal DWARF compression by information-preserving transformations at the generic DWARF level. We want all these fixed in the compiler used to build the binaries in any dist where we want to deploy compression tools, ideally. Conversely this tracks issues the compressor can try to work around with not-fully-lossless heuristics.
