Description Xixi 2009-10-22 20:17:01 UTC
Description of problem:
Attempting to remove a host from "system group" in RHN 5.2 webgui results in a 500 internal error page. Turns out it's in a system select problem - the selection from the previous system removal from group was not cleared automatically, so subsequent removals result in error unless user clears the selection manually first.

Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable):
Red Hat Network (RHN) Satellite 5.2.0

How reproducible:
Always.

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Set up a system group with more than 3 systems in the group;
2. Remove one system from group, should be all good;
3. However, after the removal, the page still shows "1 selected" - the system that was removed is still selected;
4. Jump back to the main page, and select either the same group or another group to view, and listing the systems in that group still see "1 selected".
5. This causes errors for the next removal b/c either the system was no longer in the group or it's not in this group in the first place.

Actual results:
It still shows "1 selected host" - system that was removed from group is still in the selection set after removal.

Expected results:
It should show "0 selected host" - after removing systems from a group the selection set should automatically be cleared.

Additional info:
Workaround is for user to manually "Unselect All" before the next removal to avoid this error.

Also, this appears to be fixed in Satellite 5.3.0, so this BZ is for confirmation purposes and to make sure it's covered in QA test case.

 I have just tested the issue on Satellite 5.4 and Satellite 5.3 and I did not experience any problems manipulating with systems in a group.
