Summary: SELinux is preventing /usr/lib/cups/filter/hpcups "getattr" access on /var/lib/net-snmp. Detailed Description: [hpcups has a permissive type (cupsd_t). This access was not denied.] SELinux denied access requested by hpcups. It is not expected that this access is required by hpcups and this access may signal an intrusion attempt. It is also possible that the specific version or configuration of the application is causing it to require additional access. Allowing Access: You can generate a local policy module to allow this access - see FAQ (http://fedora.redhat.com/docs/selinux-faq-fc5/#id2961385) Please file a bug report. Tim, Do you have any idea what is going on here? Is cups starting to interact with snmp? Looks like this is Fixed in selinux-policy-3.6.32-33.fc12.noarch
It's HPLIP, and yes, it uses libnetsnmp for status readback from network printers. Thanks.
