Created attachment 365999 [details] Graph from wireshark showing Empathy ignoring Asterisk telepathy-sofiasip-0.5.18-1.fc12.x86_64 sofia-sip-1.12.10-5.fc12.x86_64 Apparently the SIP client in Empathy ignores the fact that it gets a 401 from the Asterisk server, asking it to send real authentication information. I do have the correct user name and password in the SIP account, and all the other information seems to be correct. I'm attaching a graph from wireshark that illustrates the problem, and I'll also attach the source pcap file.

Ok, I think this has been fixed upstream based on the testing I've done it (few test calls to some Fedora contributors Ftalk #'s), and upstream should push out a new release shortly. Once he does that, I'll update it in Fedora.
Wonder if there's any chance we can get them to expedite, and have it tagged for f12-final?

This should be fixed with telepathy-sofiasip-0.5.18.1-0.9.20091102git.fc12 that should be tagged later tonight for F-12.
