Patch to update stgit to 0.15 and fix minor spec file issues

Hi James,

I don't use stgit myself, but I got looking at after a query on the git mailing list about updating the spec file for 0.15. Since I seem to have very little ability to follow any tangents which leads away from actual work, I spent some time to update stgit and fix up some minor spec file issues.

For updating to 0.15, I changed %build to use the upstream Makefile, which now builds the bash-completion script. I also installed a symlink to that script in /etc/bash_completion.d to make it active by default for users with bash-completion installed.

I also fixed the rpmlint warning about the ChangeLog file not being utf-8. This is done using some ugly sed because using iconv didn't cut it, since the ChangeLog file contains mostly valid utf-8 already.

Lastly, I fixed the Source URL, which must have changed in the past year or so since the previous stgit release.

Feel free to use any/all/none of this. I didn't test it myself, since I've never used stgit.

I do use stgit and would like to see this package updated to 0.15. The current package is missing stg-squash, which is a nice command to have.

This bug appears to have been reported against 'rawhide' during the Fedora 12 development cycle.
Changing version to '12'.

More information and reason for this action is here:

Comment 3 Bug Zapper 2010-11-04 09:07:54 UTC
This message is a reminder that Fedora 12 is nearing its end of life.
Approximately 30 (thirty) days from now Fedora will stop maintaining
and issuing updates for Fedora 12. It is Fedora's policy to close all
bug reports from releases that are no longer maintained. At that time
this bug will be closed as WONTFIX if it remains open with a Fedora
'version' of '12'.

Package Maintainer: If you wish for this bug to remain open because you
plan to fix it in a currently maintained version, simply change the 'version'
to a later Fedora version prior to Fedora 12's end of life.

Bug Reporter: Thank you for reporting this issue and we are sorry that
we may not be able to fix it before Fedora 12 is end of life. If you
would still like to see this bug fixed and are able to reproduce it
against a later version of Fedora please change the 'version' of this
bug to the applicable version. If you are unable to change the version,
please add a comment here and someone will do it for you.

Although we aim to fix as many bugs as possible during every release's
lifetime, sometimes those efforts are overtaken by events. Often a
more recent Fedora release includes newer upstream software that fixes
bugs or makes them obsolete.

The process we are following is described here:
http://fedoraproject.org/wiki/BugZappers/HouseKeeping

It would be really nice to see 0.15 at least at F15!

Comment 5 David Tardon 2011-10-31 07:59:00 UTC
dtardon->jbowes: Is there a chance to get this into F16? Could you at least acknowledge you have not been eaten by polar bears?
