Spec URL: http://stetson.frozenhat.fi/~tpr/fedora/kde-style-nitrogen.spec SRPM URL: http://stetson.frozenhat.fi/~tpr/fedora/kde-style-nitrogen-1.0.4-1.src.rpm Description: A fork of KDE4's Oxygen widget style, adding animations. Note, this may get into the KDE in KDE 4.4, but as I did create a package for now I decided to upload it. Should work in 4.2 and newer.
Oops, forgot to say that this is my first package, kind of.
Oops, SRPM and Spec updated, old one had wrong release tag. New SRPM: http://stetson.frozenhat.fi/~tpr/fedora/kde-style-nitrogen-1.0.4-1.fc11.src.rpm
rpmlint output: [build@tuli ~]$ rpmlint /var/lib/mock/fedora-11-x86_64/result/kde-style-nitrogen-1.0.4-1.x86_64.rpm kde-style-nitrogen.x86_64: W: no-documentation
The version I downloaded from kde-look is actually 1.0.5. Could you update the SRPM?
Yup, updated the file now. Though the only change in there actually was the license change, but apparently it isn't fixed still. Anyways, if someone wants to check the SRPM here's the new one: http://stetson.frozenhat.fi/~tpr/fedora/kde-style-nitrogen-1.0.5-1.fc11.src.rpm .
Is this the same nitrogen that will be included in kde-4.4 ?
Good question. Teemu, did you check kdesvn to see what kind of nitrogen they imported?
Hi again, yup, talked with the author and the work is merged to trunk already + there may be fixes and features which are not available in nitrogen. So basially the only reason this package would be useful is to be able to use the same style in KDE < 4.4. Perhaps it isn't worth to have in repository, I think. The same thing applies to #530895 (nitrogen kwin-style). Should I just close these bugs?
Yeah you can get the package in, then you retire it when KDE 4.4 comes out. But I don't think it's worth. Just close the bugs (unless you really want to have these packaged for KDE4.3).
Ok. Closing this as Nitrogen is merged into KDE trunk and will be available in KDE 4.4.
