Comment 2 Christoph Wickert 2009-11-02 03:19:25 UTC
Please install the necessary debug packages with
$ debuginfo-install emelfm2
and create a new backtrace. And please describe what you were doing when emelfm2 crashed. TIA!

Comment 3 John Hawk 2009-11-08 07:04:25 UTC
Problem is corrected by addidtion of "file-dev" and rebuild.
Problem associated with "magic.h"

Jhawk

Comment 4 John Hawk 2009-11-08 17:39:51 UTC
Update:
/src/utils/e2_utils.h

#ifdef E2_MAGIC
# include <magic.h>
#endif

Contained in:
The file-devel package contains the header files and libmagic library necessary for developing programs using libmagic.

file-devel-5.03-9-fc12 (x86_64)

Once installed emelfm2-0.6.2-3.fc12.src.rpm will build and function normally.

Hope this helps...

Comment 5 Christoph Wickert 2009-11-09 00:07:53 UTC
John, thanks a lot for your help. I have to admit that I'm a little confused, because emelfm2 is already built against file-devel since 0.6.2-1 and the file-devel package should certainly not be required at runtime. I will have to look into this deeper.

Comment 6 Bug Zapper 2009-11-16 14:51:39 UTC
This bug appears to have been reported against 'rawhide' during the Fedora 12 development cycle.
Changing version to '12'.

Comment 8 Christoph Wickert 2009-11-22 18:02:59 UTC
Please ignore the previous comment, that was a different bug.

I have built emelfm2 0.7.0. This release is very different from the previous one, so even if you hit the same bug again, we'll need a new backtrace.
