Created attachment 367911 [details]
output from 'lshal | grep bright'

Description of problem:
The brightness keys do not work in KDE (kdebase-4.3.2-3.fc11.i586, kernel-2.6.30.9-96.fc11.i586) on HP nc6400 notebook. The commandline brightness control works though (by writing to /sys/devices/virtual/backlight/acpi_video0/brightness). It also works fine in GNOME as well as it used to in KDE from the latest Fedora 10.
