Description Joakim Sandstrom 2009-06-10 05:52:00 UTC
The MySQL plugin configuration ( /rhq/modules/plugins/mysql/src/main/resources/META-INF/rhq-plugin.xml ) contains the following errors:

1. MySqlTableDiscoveryComponent class doesn't exist in svn
2. MySqlUserComponent class doesn't exist in svn
3. MySqlDatabaseComponent class should be MySqlComponent

Comment 1 Ian Springer 2009-06-10 13:04:49 UTC
Assigning to Greg since he wrote the mysql plugin...

Comment 2 John Mazzitelli 2009-06-10 13:17:34 UTC
greg won't have time to do this I don't think - anyone out in the community want to take over the mysql plugin?

Comment 3 Joakim Sandstrom 2009-06-10 16:44:32 UTC
I actually started fixing the plugin today, based on the postgres plugin. We are also working on a ldap plugin.

Is it possible to get committer access or should we create a patch?

Comment 4 John Mazzitelli 2009-06-10 18:21:11 UTC
Feel free to attach patches to the JIRAs. if you are creating a new plugin (ldap) and you want to contribute it, just create a "New Feature" JIRA and attach patches to that JIRA.

Thanks for your contributions! If you want to discuss in realtime, hop on freenode at #jopr

This bug was previously known as http://jira.rhq-project.org/browse/RHQ-2143

Comment 6 wes hayutin 2010-02-16 16:51:38 UTC
Temporarily adding the keyword "SubBug" so we can be sure we have accounted for all the bugs.

keyword:
new = Tracking + FutureFeature + SubBug

Comment 7 wes hayutin 2010-02-16 16:57:55 UTC
making sure we're not missing any bugs in rhq_triage

Comment 8 Heiko W. Rupp 2010-10-18 09:30:04 UTC
I've just pushed and update to the MySQL plugin by Steve Millidge
(28ae734397d49586094f973c0db81f06fc394791).

Can you please check if your issue has vanished?

Comment 11 Joakim Sandstrom 2011-01-12 19:33:47 UTC
I haven't used the plugin in a year or so, so I am unable to verify if the bug still exists.

Comment 12 Heiko W. Rupp 2011-01-13 17:03:24 UTC
The plugin has been superseded and the original issues do no longer show, so I think this could be closed.

Comment 13 Mike Foley 2011-06-21 17:50:10 UTC
original issues were compilation issues, which no longer show.
