see attached screen shot.

What I did was I submitted an operation request for immediate execution. I had a breakpoint in the agent because i needed to test the operation - so this essentially simulated a long running operation.

The attached image shows how the rendering of the op history page looked like at the time when the operation hasn't completed yet.
