Hello,

With the livecd of Fedora 12 beta or Fedora 12 installed and up to date I have a strange behavior of kde. Sometimes when a window gains the focus there is a transparent blue square that surround the window and that can disappear randomly, maximization and other buttons are surrounded by a green square, the taskbar turns red and then returns to its normal color, ...
I tried with mesa-dri-drivers-experimental and there is no change.
My graphics card is a radeon hd 4850 rv770.
With the livecd if I use the nomodeset kernel parameter I have not these "artifacts" but I can not use kwin's 3d effects.
If you need more informations i can give you.
Thanks

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. boot the live cd or the installed system with a radeon hd 4850 rv770
2. open dolphin or another soft
3. sometimes there is a blue square around the window that have gain focus

Seems to have the same problem for me. With a HD4850 too. Tested from the F12-LiveCD-KDE x86_64

There is some "graphical" bugs (random square appears around the "object" : icons, desktop folder, etc.)

Comment 6 Stian Djuvsland 2009-11-13 12:52:41 UTC
Same problem with my HD 2900 XT. As well as lines appearing after resizing or moving a window.

Comment 7 Matěj Cepl 2009-11-15 01:34:40 UTC
Could we get /var/log/Xorg.0.log attached to this bug as a separate uncompressed attachment from the run without nomodeset on the kernel command line (actually I don't we care about mesa-drivers-experimental for this log), please?
