Description Barak 2009-11-11 14:59:14 UTC
Description of problem:

The problem occurs on RHEVM system (kvm-83-105.el5_4.9) running windows guest (tested on XP but happens also on other win OSs).
It does not happen on all the hosts (race?)

Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable):

How reproducible:

1. Create an XP vm and install the guestAgent (which also installs the vmchannel guest driver)in it.
2. use VDSM log to track messages arriving via vmchannel - or write a simple program that reads the vmchannel.
3. uninstall the guestAgent (a message is sent via vmchannel indicating agent uninstalled)
4. Often the message does not get to the host side socket.
6. when reinstalling the guestAgent the lost message automagically arrives to host side socket

another way to reproduce this issue is to write a small program in guest to send messages , track those messages on the host level, and then while sending the messages uninstall the driver.

Actual results:
massages delayed when the the vmchannel driver is uninstalled

Expected results:
messages should get to the host side socket even if the driver was uninstalled
